Italian journalist Matteo Moretto expects that Napoli are ready to spend big to try and sign Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
Speaking on YouTube, via FCInter1908, Moretto added that Inter will expect at least €35-40 million for the Italian international.
Davide Frattesi’s name continues to be at the centre of transfer rumours.
The Italian international may have underlined his value to Inter with his late winner against Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.
However, that does not change the fact that Frattesi seems to have one foot out the door.
Even in his crowning moment on Tuesday, Frattesi did not start. He is still not a part of Inter’s first-choice starting eleven.
And by all accounts, the former Sassuolo midfielder wants to be at a club where he is first-choice.
By all accounts, Roma want to sign Davide Frattesi.
The Giallorossi had already attempted to do so during the January transfer window. But to no avail.
The capital club could certainly reignite their pursuit of Frattesi this summer.
However, there is also another possibility.

Italian journalist Matteo Moretto said that for the moment, Frattesi is “absolutely focused on having a good end to the season with Inter.”
“But Napoli have already taken steps,” he went on.
“And as they already did with Buongiorno, they want to get ahead of the game. They already know what it will cost – Inter are asking for €35-40 million.”
“But Napoli are already getting themselves into position,” Moretto insisted.
“They’ve put Frattesi at the top of their wishlist.”
“But it’s fair to say that they’ll need patience. Because a lot can happen between now and the end of the Club World Cup.”
Moretto explained that “Napoli have begun the first contacts to understand whether a deal would be possible.”
“But they also know that between now and the end of June, a lot of clubs could show an interest – for example, Roma.”
“But Napoli want to make a big investment in Frattesi, financially speaking,” Moretto said.
