Inzaghi’s Inter are dominating Serie A this season enjoying a 15-point lead over Juventus at the top of the table.

Inzaghi has won five trophies during his two-and-a-half-year spell at the Stadio Meazza, so Liverpool’s interest in the ex-Italian striker is unsurprising. Gazzetta reports that Inter’s results and playing style have attracted the Reds, but Inzaghi is unwilling to leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

His contract runs out in 2025, but Inter are expected to offer him a new two-year deal at the end of the season. According to Gazzetta, Inzaghi is aware that the club’s long-term project will allow him to win more trophies in the near future.

Inter have already secured deals to sign Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski for free in June, and Inzaghi and his family are happy in Milan. Therefore, Liverpool will be forced to look elsewhere for Klopp’s replacement.
