A host of clubs, including Everton and West Ham United, are interested in Rangers hitman Hamza Igamane, who is making them ‘salivate’.
The Gers have Russell Martin as their new boss alongside numerous changes in the hierarchy of the club and all eyes are on what they will do this summer.
New investors, including the 49ers, have taken over the club’s ownership, and they are expected to move slowly in the early parts of the summer window.
However, it does not make other clubs slow themselves down, as one of Rangers’ standout stars from last season is attracting clubs from Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
According to French journalist Sebastien Denis, the Hammers and the Toffees, alongside Ligue 1 clubs, are interested in the Rangers star man.
French top-flight sides Strasbourg, Rennes and Lille, with fellow Premier League side Brentford, are salivating for the Morocco striker.
Everton have been linked with Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade, while it has even been suggested they have put in a bid for Villarreal’s Thierno Barry – but now Igamane is also in their sights.
West Ham also need to find goals desperately after a subpar campaign, and the Rangers hitman is on their shopping list.
The Scottish giants paid around £1.7m to Moroccan outfit AS FAR in the summer of 2024 to secure him on a deal until 2029.
In the most recent campaign, Igamane had his breakthrough season at Rangers, when he scored 16 goals and made three assists in 46 all-competition games.
Everton and West Ham will need to stay vigilant in Igamane’s chase as the 22-year-old has no shortage of suitors in the window.
The Glasgow giants’ stance on Igamane is currently not clear and it remains to be seen if they want to cash in on him to boost their kitty or if he is a crucial part of Martin’s plans at Ibrox.
