Inter Not Stressed Over Extending Ivan Perisic’s Contract With Robin Gosens Coming In, Italian Media Report

Inter aren’t feeling the pressure to extend wing-back Ivan Perisic’s contract now that they have identified a successor for him in the form of Atalanta’s Robin Gosens.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that with the German’s arrival imminent, the Nerazzurri will negotiate on a renewal with Perisic, but will feel that they can do so on their terms.

Perisic’s current deal expires at the end of June, but given that he has been one of the standout players in the team this campaign, the club have been working to extend his contract.

However, there has been significant distance between the parties, with the Nerazzurri ready to offer a two-year contract worth a net of €3.5 million per season while the player wants a three-year deal worth €6 million net per season.

Now, with Gosens ready to arrive as an adequate long-term successor to Perisic in the club’s view, they will feel that they do not have to go all out to find an agreement on renewal with Perisic.
