Samir Handanović
Inter Milan’s current goalkeeper will surely go down in history as one of the club’s best. Batman, as captain Samir Handanović is known for his acrobatic saves, is regarded as one of the greatest keepers of his generation.
He is one of only four non-Italian goalkeepers to have been named Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year, which Handanović has won three times.

Ivano Bordon
During his goalkeeping career, the Italian Ivano Bordon was regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Italy, and he is still considered to be one Inter Milan’s best.
Bordon had a successful career playing for several Italian clubs. Between 1970 and 1983, he played for Inter Milan. Bordon began as a back-up to Lido Vieri, but he later became the club’s main goalie. He helped Inter win Serie A titles in both 1971 and 1980, and two Coppa Italia titles.
Furthermore, Bordon was the goalkeeper for Inter when the team reached the European Cup final in 1972. He was also a member of the national Italian team that won the FIFA World Cup in 1982.
Bordon’s success continued even after he retired from playing. He has had notable successes coaching goalkeeping with Juventus and Italy’s national team
Júlio César
The Brazilian Júlio César was one of the best goalkeepers in the world during his prime, and he is still regarded as one of Brazil’s greatest ever goalies.
He was well-rounded, commanding, and courageous, with plenty of strength and quick reflexes. César spent seven years at Inter Milan after signing in 2005 for a three-year deal worth €2.45 million.
In those seven years, César helped Inter to win five Scudetti, the UEFA Champion League title of 2009-2010, and the FIFA Club World Cup of 2010.
In both 2009 and 2010, he was awarded the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year title. César was also named Goalkeeper of the Year by UEFA after the 2009-2010 season, and he won the Golden Glove award at the Confederations Cup of 2013. César has also played for the Brazilian national team.
Lorenzo Buffon
While the Italian goalkeeper Lorenzo Buffon is most well-known for his time at A.C. Milan, he later played for rivals Inter Milan.
He began playing for Inter in 1960. Under manager Helenio Herrera in the 1962-1963 season, Buffon helped to win the Serie A title.
One of Buffon’s other greatest moments during his three seasons with Inter Milan was helping the team to reach the semi-finals of the 1960-1961 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.
At international level, Lorenzo Buffon was capped for Italy’s national team on fifteen occasions between 1958 and 1962. Buffon is widely considered to be one of the greatest keepers of his generation and one of Italy’s greatest ever.
Giuliano Sarti
Italian goalkeeper Giuliano Sarti played for several clubs throughout his career, but he is most known for his successes with Fiorentina and the Grande Inter team that conquered Europe in the 1960s.
He joined Inter in 1963. Led by manager Helenio Herrera, Sarti formed a legendary partnership with the fullbacks Giacinto Facchetti and Tarcisio Burgnich, and sweeper Armando Picchi.
Before leaving in 1968, Sarti helped Inter to get two Serie A wins, two European Cups, and two International Cups. Pundits and fans all over the world consider Giuliano Sarti to be one of the greatest and most successful Italian goalkeepers of all time.
Walter Zenga
Widely regarded as the greatest goalkeeper to ever guard the Nerazzurri’s goal as well as one of the best Italian goalkeepers of all time.
Born in Milan he came up through the youth ranks at Inter before spending a few seasons out on loan in the lower tiers of Italian football.
That is until 1982 after which he cemented his place between the sticks at Inter becoming an icon at the club winning two UEFA Cup’s, one Supercoppa Italiana as well as being an integral part of the Scudetto dei record side of 1988/1989.
