At the moment, Inter are firming up their ideas for transfer business in the summer window.

This will include a couple of attacking signings.

The identity of one of these signings is already confirmed. Striker Mehdi Taremi will arrive on a free transfer from Porto.

And Inter want to make another big attacking signing.

The Gazzetta report that the Nerazzurri’s top target in this respect is Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson.

Inter Want Five Forwards Next Season – Alexis & Arnautovic Could Be Among Them

Taremi and Gudmundsson alongside current first-choice duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram makes four strikers.

But Inter do not deem that to be sufficient for the fixture list next season.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will keep hold of one other striker.

There are three possibilities in that respect. One would be to reintegrate attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni into the first team.

But there is also a strong possibility that the 18-year-old goes out on loan again, in order to maximize his playing time.

Therefore, it could be one of the two veteran strikers currently in the squad who “makes up the numbers” next time around.

Arnautovic is currently under contract with Inter until the end of June 2025.

Therefore, the Austrian could very well stay until the end of his deal at the end of next season.

But on the other hand, Arnautovic’s performances have not exactly been convincing this season. Moreover, a couple of muscle injuries have raised doubts about his suitability.

Alexis Sanchez, unlike Arnautovic, is out of contract with Inter at the end of June of this year.

But the Gazzetta note that, if Arnautovic is to leave, the Nerazzurri could decide to offer the Chilean a new contract.
