According to Foot Mercato Inter Milan are targeting Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo (22) as a replacement for the potential departure of Milan Škriniar to Paris Saint-Germain. The player is currently valued at €20 to €25m and is currently under contract at OGC Nice until 2026.

Yesterday it was reported that a Ligue 1 defender was being considered as a replacement for Škriniar, with the Slovak’s deal still potentially being on according to club intermediaries. The identity of the player has now been revealed, and it is the 22-year old former Barcelona defender.

The Cayenne-born Frenchman moved to Barcelona from Toulouse in 2019, and after various loans to Shalke, Benfica, and OGC Nice, opted to sign permanently with the Ligue 1 side last summer. Since then, the player has managed to establish himself in Nice’s defence, playing 40 matches last season for Les Aiglons.

Todibo featured in Nice’s 1-1 opening day draw against Toulouse and had an outstanding performance in the OGC defence – evidence of why the Ligue 1 side want to keep the player at all costs.
