Last summer saw massive upheaval in Inter’s squad.

There were twelve departures from the first team, ranging from veteran players leaving at the end of their contracts to the big money sales of Andre Onana and Marcelo Brozovic.

And then twelve players came in the other way.

Marcus Thuram, Benjamin Pavard, and Davide Frattesi were among the marquee arrivals.

This summer, Inter will be signing at least two big names.

Striker Mehdi Taremi and midfielder Piotr Zielinski will arrive on free transfers from Porto and Napoli respectively.

But it is not as though the club’s work is finished there.

The rumour mill is already in full swing. Reports indicate that Inter are keen to make big signings in virtually every area of the pitch.

Ausilio has confirmed that there will be new arrivals.

However, the Nerazzurri executive has cautioned against expecting another whirlwind summer like the last one.

Ausilio: Inter Will Make Signings – But Not Like Last Summer

Asked about Inter’s plans for this summer, Ausilio remarked, “If I said that our transfer window is already over, would you believe me?”

“There’s no concern,” continued the executive.

“We’ve already made some signings,” Ausilio said. “There’s no point in hiding it. It’s an open secret.”

“We’ve already signed two excellent players,” the executive said, referring to Taremi and Zielinski. “They should be able to fit into what’s already a strong group.”

“But we aren’t going to build a squad that’s too large,” Ausilio continued.

“The coach has done well to give everyone playing time. And you can only do that if you have the right balance and the right number of players.”

“We want to add to our squad,” the Inter Sporting Director made clear.

“But it won’t be a window like last summer when we made big changes. Maybe we won’t change things all that much.”
