Inter have identified Club Brugge winger Tajon Buchanan as the ideal player to replace Denzel Dumfries in the summer if the Dutchman is sold.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 24-year-old Canadian international has been scouted as having the perfect profile to replace Arsenal and Manchester United target Dumfries like-for-like.

Inter are still seriously considering selling Dumfries in the summer transfer window, and the former PSV wingback has suitors in the Premier League.

Tuttosport notes that Chelsea’s interest in the 26-year-old has waned after they completed the signing of Malo Gusto from Lyon, but United and Arsenal remain keen.

Inter have not been waiting around to identify a replacement, and Buchanan has emerged as the top name on their list, with the Canadian having been scouted at the World Cup in addition to at club level.

According to Tuttosport, the likes of Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari, Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal, and Torino’s Wilfried Singo are other names on the Nerazzurri’s list, but Buchanan is their first choice.

The 23-year-old would cost around €15-20 million according to Tuttosport.
