Inter have hardly had any major injury crises to deal with over the first few weeks of the Serie A season.

However, the Nerazzurri have always had at least one or two players on the sidelines.

First and foremost, there is wingback Tajon Buchanan.

The Canadian international has yet to featured in a matchday squad for Inter. He has been on the sidelines recovering from a broken leg that he suffered during the summer.

The tibia fracture occurred in training with the Canadian national team at the Copa America. Buchanan required surgery, and has spent the past few months recovering.

However, a return is now on the horizon. Buchanan has healed from his injury and has been working on regaining fitness.

Buchanan should be back in full training with the rest of the squad during the international break.

Then, the 25-year-old can be called up for the first time this season against Roma after the break.

Inter To Have A Full Squad Available After Break With Barella & Buchanan Back

Aside from Buchanan being out, Inter have missed a few players with muscle injuries here and there.

That is to be expected at the start of the season. Particularly with so many players returning to preseason training late after the Euros and Copa America, and therefore struggling for fitness.

But Inter’s squad have been shaking off these injuries.

The latest muscle injury for an Inter player was suffered by midfielder Barella.

The 27-year-old picked up a thigh strain during the derby against AC Milan last month.

That injury has seen Barella miss a couple matches already. The former Cagliari midfielder was not in the squad for matches against Udinese in Serie A and Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.

And Barella will also miss this evening’s match against Torino.

But Barella should swiftly return to training during the international break. Therefore, there is little doubt that the Italian international will be available against Roma after the break.

Barring any injuries this evening or during the break, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have his pick of players in the squad against Roma.
