Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi wanted more from their 0-0 draw with Champions League opponents Shakhtar Donetsk.
Nicolò Barella hit the bar, while only two late saves denied Joaquin Correa and Stefan de Vrij.
“We faced a team in good shape that had a lot of the ball, while we must accept the blame for not making the most from our chances," Inzaghi told Sky Italia.
“We could've finished better, we had five really good scoring opportunities despite it not being our sharpest performance. We could've won it.
“Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko really sacrificed themselves for the team. Correa and Alexis Sanchez were coming off injuries, we've got a lot of fixtures and we knew this would be a dangerous game."
Inzaghi added: “Shakhtar are an unpredictable team, so considering how much we created, we should've scored. We hit the crossbar and their goalkeeper made some great saves. We'll see what happens at San Siro."
