There were three more EURO 2024 fixtures taking place on Sunday.

Here's what went down.

Serbia 0-1 England

Scorers: Bellingham 13'

England had to ride their luck against Serbia to claim Group C's top spot with an opening win.

The Three Lions broke the deadlock inside 13 minutes as Jude Bellingham met Bukayo Saka's deflected cross with a bullet header.

Kyle Walker attempted to double their lead with a surging run into the penalty area but saw his cutback flashes across the face of goal.

Serbia returned from the interval in the ascendancy as Filip Mladenović tried to tee up Aleksandar Mitrović but Jordan Pickford snuffed out the danger.

Harry Kane went closest to doubling the Three Lions' lead as Predrag Rajković tipped his header from Jarrod Bowen's delivery onto the crossbar.

In the closing stages, Pickford later had to show sharp reflexes to deny an ambitious Dušan Vlahović effort from distance to assure maximum points.

Slovenia 1-1 Denmark

Scorers: Eriksen 17'; Janza 77'

Denmark will be regretting a lack of cutting edge after Slovenia cancelled out Christian Eriksen's opener to earn a 1-1 draw.

Eriksen's side largely dominated but it was talented Slovenia youngster Benjamin Šeško who almost gave his side an opener against the run of play.

The RB Leipzig man let fly with a rocket of a shot from distance, but almost immediately Christian Eriksen went up the other end and scored, taking one touch to control the ball superbly well before delivering a brilliant finish into the back of the net.

That strike marked 1,100 days since his dramatic cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020.

Into the second half and confusion in the Danish back line almost allowed Šeško to score, with Slovenia going close again from the corner that followed.

Sliding in at the far post, Denmark's Rasmus Højlund fired a shot at Jan Oblak but the stopper made himself big and pulled off an excellent save to prevent what would've been an almost certain goal.

Another shot from range unleashed by Šeško rattled against the post, and Slovenia found the equaliser with an another brilliant strike from outside the box from the resulting corner, this time hit by Erik Janža.

The momentum had swung in favour of Slovenia, and Kasper Schmeichel just about tipped a shot from Andraž Šporar into the side netting.

Slovenia held out to earn a valuable point, leaving Denmark with a sense of real frustration that they couldn't capitalise on their early advantage.

Poland 1-2 Netherlands

Scorers: Buksa 16'; Gakpo 29', Weghorst 83'

The Netherlands kickstarted their campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Poland thanks to a late winner from substitute Wout Weghorst.

Cody Gakpo went close early for the Netherlands against a Polish side missing talisman Robert Lewandowski through injury but they didn't miss him for long as a glancing header from Adam Buksa after peeling away from his marker put Poland into the lead.

It didn't last though and Gakpo soon equalised via a deflected strike to continue his record of netting in each group game he has played at a major tournament for the Netherlands for a level game at the interval.

After a bright Dutch start to the second half, Poland mustered a strong response and went close through Jakub Kiwior at the back post but he was denied by Bart Verbruggen.

With seven minutes remaining, Ronald Koeman's side completed the turnaround when Weghorst came off the bench to fire the Netherlands into the lead with moments of his arrival by stealing ahead of his marker and turning home.

Verbruggen came up with a huge save in the dying embers to deny Poland a point and ensure a winning start for the Oranje.
