Throughout his time at Inter, there have sometimes been accusations that Inter captain Lautaro Martinez doesn’t have enough of an impact in the biggest matches.

The 27-year-old has certainly been prolific. He has been Inter’s top scorer for each of the past three seasons, and last season was the top scorer for all of Serie A.

However, the issue concerns Martinez’s relative lack of goals against certain opposition.

The Inter captain has not managed to regularly score against Juventus. And in big Champions League matches, he has rarely inspired Inter to victory.

But on the other hand, Martinez has the perfect opportunity to respond immediately.

Inter’s next two matches are against Fiorentina and Juventus.
