Inter could ask for a buy-back clause to be inserted in a deal for defender Lorenzo Pirola as Salernitana push to sign the 20-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could ask the Campanian club to insert a clause which gives them the option to bring the player back after 24 months.

Salernitana look to be the club keenest on signing Pirola this summer, with Monza not having triggered the option to sign him permanently for €9 million after he spent the past two seasons on loan.

The Nerazzurri have placed an €8 million price tag on the defender, and talks are ongoing with Salernitana to try and get a deal done for him.

Inter could ask for a buy-back clause in the deal in the event that Pirola’s development really takes off in his first season in Serie A with the Campanians.
