Spanish football’s two leading clubs are expressing an interest in the signing of Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing sources close to the situation, who have this week provided an insight into the widespread interest in the Frenchman’s services.
Thuram, for his part, is in the mist of what has been a fine start to the new campaign.
All told, in 20 appearances across all competitions, the frontman has racked up 18 direct goal contributions, by way of 12 goals and six assists.
With such excellence in the final third, though, comes inevitable links with some of the continent’s other heavyweights…
As per a report from MD, Barcelona – on the lookout for a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski – and Real Madrid are both keeping a close eye on Thuram’s situation in Milan.
This comes with a view to a future bid for his services.
Also interested, meanwhile, are the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
A likely stumbling block for any side actually planning to fomalise their interest, however, comes in the form of Inter’s steep asking price, set at €85 million.
