Inter are currently performing better than their 2021-22 budget had accounted for having qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 2021-22 inter budget was written up taking into account participation in the group stages as well as a run to the semi finals of the Europa League.

That budget was also working on the basis that stadium capacities would remain at 50% but they have been operating at 75% for some weeks now.

This means that Inter are so far outperforming their financial objectives for the season partly thanks to the work of the team on the pitch.

All in all, qualification to the round of 16 is believed to be worth over €60 million to the Nerazzurri which is hugely beneficial in helping the club keep its financial situation under control at least for the time being.
