Inter’s plan of selling Andrea Pinamonti to Genoa to comply with Financial Fair Play could be thwarted by the forward’s agent Mino Raiola, according to FcInterNews.it.
The Nerazzurri have agreed a deal worth €18 million and will have the chance to resign the 20-year-old for €25 million next summer.
Pinamonti’s departure was not planned initially, with Suning preferring a loan deal, but Inter need the money before Sunday to ensure they raise enough ‘capital gains’ for UEFA.
Raiola, however, will not give the deal his approval unless Inter extend Pinamonti’s contract first, which is due to expire in 2021.
Genoa have offered Pinamonti a four-year deal worth €1 million per season, after the Italian impressed for Frosinone in his debut Serie A campaign.
The Rossoblu will have to wait before securing their target, though, because Raiola is blocking the move for now.
Talks are at a standstill and the parties will have to meet again if Pinamonti is to depart by the weekend.
