Real Madrid have played their first two La Liga matches of the 2025/26 season with a number of players absent through injury.

Indeed, manager Xabi Alonso has had to make do without Jude Bellingham, Endrick, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ferland Mendy at his disposal, with the quartet recovering from their physical ailments.

However, Alonso and Real Madrid could soon be able to welcome one of their injured players back, with Camavinga seemingly edging closer to a comeback.

Earlier today, the 22-year-old midfielder, who has been working individually on the pitch, took to social media to post an update on his situation.

With an image of him going through the paces, Camavinga wrote: “I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

It was followed by an hourglass emoji, further indicating that he is getting closer to making his comeback.

Camavinga has been sidelined since early August after suffering an ankle sprain.

While it was initially expected that he could be back in time for the weekend’s La Liga game against Mallorca, Real Madrid do not wish to take any risks and might ease him back after the international break.

Having endured an injury-riddled campaign last time out, Camavinga will be hoping that he is able to stay fit and make valuable contributions in the new season.

The 22-year-old Frenchman is already understood to have rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia and will be eager to get back to playing for Real Madrid.
