The stars could line up for OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka to make the big career step-up by joining Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils have had to endure Andre Onana’s chaotic displays over the past two campaigns. MUFC splashed £47 million to secure the Cameroonian’s services following an extraordinary campaign at Inter Milan, but he has been anything but steady ever since.
The 29-year-old occasionally pulls off astonishing saves, but his knack for committing shocking howlers has been extremely costly.
Therefore, the management won’t overlook any opportunities to sign an upgrade in the summer.

United have already been linked with a host of potential candidates for the role, including Roma’s Mile Svilar, Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Burnley’s James Trafford, as well as Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.
Nevertheless, a report from the Manchester Evening News believes that INEOS could opt for a familiar solution in the shape of Bulka.
Similar to the situation at United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company is a minority owner at OGC Nice, so he could use this connection to lure the Polish goalkeeper to Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old Plock native isn’t a complete stranger to English football, as he spent a few years at Chelsea’s academy before being poached by Paris Saint-Germain.
Bulka struggled for space in the French capital, so he joined Nice in the summer of 2021 on an initial loan deal, before making his move permanent a year later.
The Poland international started every Ligue 1 match for the French outfit this season, registering eight clean sheets and conceding 41 goals in his 34 appearances.
Transfermarkt estimates Bulka’s current value at €20 million, but he could be available for a lower price, as his contract will expire a year later, not to mention United’s advantage with INEOS in their corner.
