Justin Hubner has signed for Fortuna Sittard. The 21-year-old Indonesian international defender left Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this summer.

Despite being in his early 20s, Hubner has already played 15 international matches for Indonesia. This has not only provided the left-footer with valuable experience but also a substantial cult following.

Hubner has signed a three-year contract with Fortuna Sittard. The club’s management views him as an immediate reinforcement for the centre of defence. The new acquisition previously played in the youth academies of Willem II and FC Den Bosch, among others, before moving to England. At Wolverhampton, the defender never managed to make his first-team debut.

Hubner was under contract with the Premier League club for over five years in total. In between, he was loaned out to Japanese side Cerezo Osaka.

The Indonesian centre-back joins a Fortuna that have already strengthened this transfer window with the additions of Mattijs Branderhorst, Philip Brittijn, Dimitrios Limnios, and Paul Gladon.
