Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Ladislav Krejci on an initial loan.

The Czech defender joins the club from La Liga side Girona having previously represented Sparta Praha and Zbrojovka Brno in his home country.

Although the deal is an initial loan, it is expected to be made permanent through fairly easily-obtained clauses which would then see Krejci commit to the Premier League club until 2030.

Wolves are reportedly paying approximately £6 million to loan the 26-year-old with a potential permanent transfer fee of around £20 million.

"I’m very, very excited," Krejci said on joining the club. "Even the first day, it’s very exciting for me to see how the staff are working and everything around, the first view of the club. It's very beautiful, very amazing. So, I cannot wait for it.

"It’s been very crazy the last few days. Also, the travelling was busy. But I believe that it’s coming to an end, it will be calmer, and I will have more time to focus on my future club."

Krejci could potentially make his debut this weekend as Wolves host Everton in the Premier League.
