Iñaki Williams hits impressive milestone for Athletic Club | OneFootball

Athletic Club’s Iñaki Williams notched his 100th goal for the club by netting the opener against CA Osasuna in a thrilling 2-2 draw at San Mamés. The milestone makes him the twentieth player to reach the century mark while donning the red and white stripes of the Basque club.

Turning 30 on June 15th, Williams has tallied 76 goals in La Liga, 16 in the Copa del Rey, 7 in the Europa League, and one in the Supercopa across 419 official appearances for Athletic Club.

Williams remains in fine form for Athletic, having scored a brace last week against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, securing a 2-0 win for his side on that occasion.

This season, the forward has notched 12 league goals – 14 in total, including his Copa del Rey contributions – marking his second-best tally after the 13 he achieved in the 2018-19 campaign, when he totaled 15 goals in all competitions.

Athletic Club’s 2-2 home draw with Osasuna on Saturday night sees them consolidate their place in 5th, meaning it is likely that Europa League football will be played at San Mamés next season.
