No fewer than five La Liga clubs are expressing an interest in the signature of an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Atlético Madrid.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Giuliano Simeone as the player in question.
Simeone, the son of Atlético headmaster Diego, spent this past season out on loan, with Deportivo Alavés.
After seeing the early months of his campaign curtailed by a serious injury, the latter months of the term saw the 21-year-old begin to turn heads with his appearances.
On his way to a goal and two assists across 14 La Liga appearances, Simeone showcased flashes of the unquestionable talent possessed in his twinkling feet.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear that interest in the signature of the young winger is already beginning to spread with a view to next season.
As per the aforementioned MD, five clubs from across Spain’s top-flight are keen on the prospect of bringing Simeone in on loan this summer.
The clubs in question? Getafe, Las Palmas, Real Betis, Valencia, and Alavés, the latter of whom are eyeing a similar deal to that struck with Atlético Madrid last summer.
Interest in the Argentine extends to France, too, amid the understanding that OGC Nice are also keeping a close eye on Simeone’s situation.
