With the 2025-26 campaign just months away, Barcelona are looking to bolster their squad for what will be a massive season ahead. After all, they entered it as the defending champions of three events.

While the board are working hard to secure the signings and renewals that the team needs, Nike have been working on various concepts for the team’s kits across all competitions.

Now, Footy Headlines brings out a sneak peek at the team’s third kit for next season which has caught a lot of eyes for its unique design and interesting colour selection.

A retro-inspired kit

The inspiration behind the design of Barcelona’s third kit for the 2025-26 season is the iconic mid-2000s Total 90 template, a theme Nike have maintained while designing the third kits of all elite European clubs including Inter Milan, PSG, and Atletico Madrid.

The kit in itself features a shade of bright orange as the primary colour with the exact shade of the colour being named ‘bright mango’. The effects and details are in a tint of dark navy with the shade being named ‘midnight navy’.

Needless to say, the orange and blue combination is reminiscent of Barcelona’s 2009-11 away and third kits and thus brings back memories of one of the club’s golden periods.

On the front, the club’s crest will appear in the centre above the centrally placed sponsor logo. The Nike swoosh, meanwhile, is in its traditional top-right spot.

The dark navy lines form a unique boundary on the front with an arrow-like detail on the bottom. On the back, the design is largely similar except for a patch of dark navy on the top where the player’s names feature.

The third kit is expected to be available for purchase from August or September this year.
