Enzo Fernandez has taken to Instagram to share an update on his recovery from hernia surgery, which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

The Argentine went under the knife following the defeat against Arsenal last month, and revealed he had been  playing with the pain for six months.

Fernandez had been taking pain killing injections to help get him through games, but the pain had become too much, which is why he opted for the surgery.

The Argentine was spotted at Cobham earlier this week catching up with his team-mates, and has now shared an update on how his recovery is going.

The 23-year-old shared a photo of himself on an exercise bike, showing he has started to up his recovery as he aims to get fit in time for this summer’s Copa America with Argentina.

Fernandez made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
