FC Barcelona has concluded the recent preseason tour with flying colours. They recently dismantled Daegu FC and managed to maintain their perfect record. However, the key takeaway from the tour for Barcelona was the resurgence of many players.
The likes of Gavi shined bright with superb displays, and others also managed to rise to the occasion. One player in particular who seems to be committed to delivering to the best of his abilities is Ronald Araujo, who even captained the team during the first half in the recent game.
Following the victory, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona defender made it clear that he is fully committed to staying at the club when asked if he was set to remain with the Catalan giants moving forward:
“Of course. I’m very happy in Barcelona. They haven’t seen the best Ronald yet, and that’s what’s coming in the years ahead, I’m ready for that.”

Even on a personal level beyond the bold vow he made regarding his future, the defender clarified that he feels much more confident now:
“Mentally, I feel very confident again. Last year I lost a bit of that due to injury, but this year I’m highly motivated.”
Fortunately, Barcelona will definitely welcome a more competitive version of Araujo. He will likely need to compete with the likes of Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi, who recently survived an injury scare, but the Uruguayan defender seems determined to prove his worth at Barcelona.
