Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was full of praise for Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos (22) in his press conference ahead of the league leaders match with Clermont Foot this weekend (Saturday, 8PM).

Ramos has ten goals and one assist in 31 matches in all competitions so far this season, including four in his last six in Ligue 1. Along with fellow summer signing Randall Kolo Muani, the Portugal international is finding his feet at the Parc des Princes, much to the pleasure of the Spanish coach, who was full of praise for his efforts:

“If I have to talk to you about Ramos, I can only say that he has an iron spirit. He has a faultless ambition and he’s a very interesting player. I am happy to have him in my squad, he is always ready to help the team. His numbers are good, he has been putting in very good performances. He deserves more game time, but that’s how it is in big teams. His performances and his character have been impeccable. He is very young, but also very mature. I am happy to have him.”

After Saturday’s home fixture with Clermont, PSG will begin to prepare for arguably the biggest game of their season so far, the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg, at home to FC Barcelona on Wednesday. It promises to be a crucial few weeks for the Parisians, with the capital club bidding for a treble of Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Champions League trophies.
