“I wanted to hurt someone” – Wayne Rooney admits he deliberately tried to injure John Terry | OneFootball

During Wayne Rooney’s playing days there was always a fierce rivalry between his club Manchester United and Chelsea, that was never shied away from.

Despite being team mates for England, Rooney had some epic battles with our captain John Terry, and they were battles that both thrived on.

However, Rooney has admitted that one game in particular where Terry ended up leaving on crutches, he deliberately set out to hurt the Blues legend trying to injure him. He admits that he even put different longer studs in to make sure he did this.

But fear not, Terry didn’t seem to bothered when responding to it on his Twitter account this morning, in fact he just laughed at the words from Rooney.

Thing is, Terry would have loved these kinds of battles, it was just the way it was!
