“I love the club”- Chelsea player we all expect to be sold declares he’s staying next season

One Chelsea player that we all expect to be sold this summer is now declaring that he is staying at the club next season.

I do wonder if the club have other ideas though, because Benoit Badiashile for me has always been a dead cert to be sold this summer and to be honest, I still expect him to be despite his latest comments that you can read further below.

Sources: Chelsea still in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with three names mentioned!

Chelsea won the Club World Cup on Sunday night in what was an emphatic victory over PSG, but Badiashile was once again forced to just spectate from the bench as he has to do most of the time.

Incidentally on that, three Chelsea players have been picked in the team of the tournament for the Club World Cup, as revealed yesterday.

Chelsea looking to make some sales now

The Blues have had a decent transfer window so far in terms of new signings, but they will now surely be looking to move some players on as well now.

Attacker Christopher Nkunku is another one with a question mark over his head, and yesterday he was even linked with a surprise move to Liverpool this summer.

Badiashile will surely still go as well?

I honestly can’t see either Nkunku or Badiashile staying this summer – despite these latest quotes from the latter.

He told Footmercato this week:

“Yes, I will still be at Chelsea next season. The club, the coach, and all the staff give me a lot of confidence and believe in me. I will do everything to give back to them on the pitch.

“I love the club, the city, and the supporters. And so I hope to be able to make even more history with this magnificent club.”
