Manchester United-linked defender Matthijs de Ligt has claimed he is not thinking about leaving Bayern Munich and is happy at the club.

De Ligt’s future at Bayern Munich has been under the scanner as he has not been a certain starter under Thomas Tuchel this season.

There have been claims that he could be looking to leave the German champions this summer and Manchester United have been tipped to be interested in the Dutchman.

However, Tuchel will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and it seems De Ligt is set to continue in Bavaria.

He insisted that he has no thoughts of leaving the Bavarians in the summer and is happy at Bayern Munich at the moment.

The Dutchman insisted that he is satisfied at the club and is looking forward to a deep run in the Champions League this season.

Asked if he is considering leaving the club, the Bayern Munich star told Sky Deutschland: “No, I am very happy at FC Bayern.

“The club and the fans have always given me a lot of love.

“I feel good now.

“I am very satisfied now, and hopefully, we can play very good games this season and go very far in the Champions League.”

Bayern Munich are targeting Xabi Alonso to replace Tuchel as their coach in the summer, but face competition from Liverpool.
