Chelsea are still working on a deal for Xavi Simons, but there still isn’t an agreement with RB Leipzig according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have been busy this summer and have made four exciting signings in Jorrel Hato, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Chelsea aren’t done there and are looking to add both Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to the squad before the end of the window.
The Chelsea attack has undergone somewhat of a revamp, with Noni Madueke and Joao Felix leaving, whilst Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku are also expected to depart.
The Blues are said to want as many as eight or nine attacking options in their squad to rotate between next season.

Simons has been identified as a player they want to add, and Chelsea have been locked in negotiations with Leipzig for several weeks.
It’s been reported Manchester City are contemplating hijacking a deal for Simons, with Leipzig said to want a total package of £60m.
Chelsea are hopeful of agreeing a fee of around £50m, but there’s still no breakthrough, and Romano has now provided an update.
“I’m told the situation with Xavi Simons is not changing!, he told his YouTube channel.

“Chelsea are working on the deal, but there is still no agreement. I can guarantee they are still negotiating for Simons but have not agreed, so let’s see what’s going to happen.”
Simons scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in 33 appearances in all competitions last season, and would be another exciting addition to the Chelsea attack.
Whilst Chelsea continue to try and close a deal for Simons, they are also working on brining Garnacho to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old, and are now in conversation with Manchester United over a fee.
United want £50m for the Argentine, but Chelsea are said to value Garnacho at £30m, and reportedly won’t just give into United’s demands.
