BK Häcken have signed Canadian national team player Clarissa Larisey from Celtic. The 23-year-old has signed an agreement that runs until the summer of 2025…

“I am very grateful to be here. It’s a good team and I think this will be a good season for us,” Clarissa Larisey told the official BK Häcken website while Christian Lundström, football manager for women’s elite in BK Häcken gave his thoughts on the former Celtic star ahead of the new season.

“She is primarily a deep player with good speed, but also good in one-on-one situations. She adds a new dimension to our offensive game. We have followed her for a long time and she fits very well into our way of playing and into our profile. I look forward to seeing her on the pitch,” says Christian Lundström said.

Häcken finished last year in second place in the women’s league in Sweden and with the addition of Clarissa Larisey they’ll now be looking to go one better.

Clarissa Larisey has won four international caps for Canada and has scored one goal , after making her debut earlier this season. She has scored twelve goals in twelve games in this year’s edition of the Scottish Women’s Premier League for Celtic and last season helped the Hoops to a League Cup and Scottish Cup double where she was a stand-out in both matches.

“BK Häcken seems to be a special club with very good values and I like the way the club handles the women’s and men’s teams,” the former Celtic forward said.  Larisey has high hopes for her time at the Swedish club. “I always like to expect the best. I hope that we win everything, as much as we can, that we go as far as we can in all the competitions we participate in and that we do as well as possible in everything,” Larisey stated, with a touch of the Celtic mentality rubbing off on her.

And Celtic manager Fran Alonso has wished his former player all the best in Swedish football saying that she’ll smash it.

Celtic confirmed the transfer via social media and confirmed that the club had received an undisclosed fee Larisey while Fran Alonso confirmed to The Celtic Star last Thursday afternoon that he was looking at two or maybe even three new signings with one or maybe two going out.

Without wanting to worry you but Jacynta has been linked with several Spanish clubs including Levante and Real Betis and if any interest is firmed up then it will be extremely hard for Celtic to hold onto their creative star and current player of the year.
