Our fixture list in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga championship group is getting increasingly exciting! Before we go away next week to face SK Sturm Graz, this Sunday 16 April we host third-placed LASK at 14:30.
After a topsy turvy 3-3 draw against Austria Vienna last weekend, three points are our boys' big goal this time. We took a superb 2-0 win in our last meeting with Didi Kühbauer's side. Our last home meeting was a nervy affair, with a last-minute goal from Oumar Solet saving us from defeat and rescuing our run of unbeaten home Bundesliga matches, which now stretches to 38.
LASK showed they have plenty of the steel their city has become famous for in two recent clashes with SK Sturm Graz. They suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat in the cup semi-final, but took their revenge days later with a 2-1 win in the league to help us extend our lead at the top of the table by another point.
The visitors are particularly strong in attack. Along with Keito Nakamura, who has more goal involvements than anyone else in the league (13 goals and 7 assists), the Linz side can rely on the dependable Marin Ljubicic (11 goals and 2 assists) as well as new winter signing Ibrahim Mustapha (2 goals and 2 assists in 7 matches). Strahinja Pavlovic & Co therefore have to be particularly alert - something we have a good record of doing against LASK.
17 goals scored in six championship group clashes
We have been in particularly impressive form against the Linz side in the spring. All of our previous six championship group clashes against LASK have been won, with at least two goals per match (17 or 2.8 on average).
Our boys need your support in their battle for three further points. Anyone who doesn't have a ticket can get one now in our online Ticket Shop.
All the info on visiting the stadium can be found in our latest match day info.

LASK have been doing really well in recent weeks and months. They are very consistent, and the coach gives the team a really clear plan, which is easy to see. They play really brave and attacking football and try to put the opponents under pressure early. They will definitely try that against us on Sunday. They showed in their clashes against Sturm that they can compete against the top teams in the league and beat them too. Linz will be confident as they travel to us.

We know the table and our lead at the top. It is important that we focus on ourselves and our performances. We didn't play well in the second half last week. That was definitely a small wake-up call for us, and we have trained really well this week. It's a really cool challenge for us to be fully on it from the very start in every match, and we will have to perform to the limit as there are rivals breathing down our necks. We have it in our own hands though, and we want to keep it that way.
