Hummels: "Internally a statement too"

When BVB claimed their last win in Munich before today in April 2014, Mats Hummels was involved in the action. Today he was the outstanding player on the pitch. The first reaction to the match.

Mats Hummels (to Sky): "It was important that we produced another performance like that and that one no longer has to count the years until we finally win in Munich again. We managed it in just under 10 years. And internally for us too, it was a statement that we can do it, that we can play football. If we defend that well as a team, we can get good results against top teams. Nothing other than top opponents await us throughout April."
