The midfielder has agreed a new deal to keep him at Eintracht Frankfurt until 30 June 2029.

Hugo Larsson joined Eintracht at the start of the 2023/24 campaign from Swedish champions Malmö FF and soon became a first-team regular. In his first season at the club the 20-year-old made 38 competitive appearances, contributing two goals and two assists. Head coach Dino Toppmöller has fielded the Swede in all eight of the team’s games so far in 2024/25, with Larsson already scoring two and setting up another.

The midfielder’s contract with the Eagles was initially due to run until 30 June 2028, but it has now been extended by a year.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung: “Hugo developed really well in his first year at Eintracht Frankfurt and adapted to the Bundesliga quickly. He has added a lot of quality to our game and we believe he will continue to develop. His positive character is also a great fit in our dressing room. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to extend his contract.”

Hugo Larsson: “Today is a great and happy day for me and my family. After Eintracht approached me with the offer of an early contract extension, I knew straight away that I wanted to do it. I feel incredibly at home at the club and in the city, and have felt great trust from day one. My first year in Frankfurt was great, and I’m looking forward to many more years with the eagle on my chest.”
