Wolves youngster Hugo Bueno has been rewarded for his breakthrough into his first-team with a new long-term deal at the club.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract, keeping him at Molineux until 2026.
The defender made his first senior start for Wolves in the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on October 18 and started the following two fixtures against Leicester and Brentford.
He arrived at the club in 2019 from Spanish side Arosa, originally joining the under-19s before quickly making the step-up to the under-21 side.
Technical director Scott Sellars lavished the left-back in praise, stating: “We always try to reward young players who are doing particularly well.
“Hugo, since he came at 16, has been excellent in how he’s progressed. Now he’s done the final bit we want from young players, which is to break into the first-team, so we’re delighted to get a talented boy tied down.”
