Robert Lewandowski (Poland)

The Polish striker is having a decent campaign at the Nou Camp as he has put in a series of productive displays as the focal point of Xavi’s attack. The 34-year-old has banged in 18 goals and grabbed four assists in 19 matches for the Catalan outfit this season.

Lewandowski has also got a stellar goal-scoring record for Poland after he scored 76 goals in 134 international matches for them so far. He will now look to lead his Poland team and go on a good run when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar soon.

Nou Camp

Jules Kounde (France)

Kounde has made a tough start to life at Barcelona as he has struggled with injuries since joining from Sevilla last summer. The French talent has still done well to catch the eye at times for Xavi’s side this season.

The 24-year-old picked up three assists in ten matches for Barca this season across all fronts. He has mostly served as a right-back and has done well to average 1.0 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 0.7 shots and 0.7 key passes per game in La Liga (stats via whoscored).

Kounde is unlikely to be a regular starter for France and could play a key role in Les Bleus’ squad. He would be a good option for France to call upon if needed during this World Cup.

Ousmane Dembele (France)

Dembele is having a brilliant campaign at the Nou Camp as he has managed to put in a handful of fruitful performances for Xavi’s team in the final third.

The 25-year-old has found the back of the net on five occasions and secured seven assists in 20 matches for Barca this season in various competitions.

If Dembele can take his good form to the World Cup, he could play a crucial role for France either as a first-team starter or off the bench. His pace and goal-scoring prowess could help Les Bleus, especially in the latter stages of the competition.
