After spending two seasons with Nottingham Forest in which the side flipped from play-off contenders to Championship strugglers, Yuri Ribeiro parted ways with the side in pursuit of more regular action.
The 24-year-old is still early on in his career and has already tackled both England and his native country of Portugal – and there is nothing to say that he won’t one day return to the EFL again.
However, after over 50 league games at the City Ground, the two parties decided to part ways ahead of the current second tier campaign.
So how is he getting on since leaving the club?
When Nottingham Forest decided the right thing to do was let Ribeiro go, he made the move to another new country, this time to Poland and Legia Warsaw.
So far though, it perhaps isn’t the experience that the 24-year-old was banking on when he made the move away from Forest.
The club have played 14 games so far this season and have found themselves embroiled in a relegation battle in the Ekstraklasa.
Ribeiro has also had little part to play for the side as of yet, featuring in just below half of those games and starting only five fixtures for his new team so far.
In fact, if you look at the amount of minutes under his belt, he has only so far had four lots of 90 minutes to play for Legia Warsaw.
It’s a big drop off when you look at the amount that he played for Forest over the last two seasons and he will no doubt be hoping to get his name on the teamsheet more as the season continues. However, so far, it doesn’t look as though the grass has been greener for the player since departing the City Ground.
