Hibs showed superb second half of the season form to finish in third spot in the Scottish Premiership, which means they have European football on the agenda.

The transfer business has already kicked off with goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger coming in through the door from Austrian club Hartberg.

There will be outgoings too though and striker Dylan Vente is in line to be sold by Hibs, according to journalist Mark Henry.

He spent the season on loan in the Netherlands at Zwolle, where he found himself amongst the goals in the Dutch top flight.

That form has generated suitors and it is suggested he ‘may have played his final game’ for Hibernian as a result.

The Easter Road outfit splurged £700,000 to sign Vente, but he struggled to live up to expectations in Edinburgh.

Hibs would ideally want to make a profit on the striker and will hope they can do so.

He scored against Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, but drew a blank against fellow big wigs Feyenoord and Ajax.

Hibernian have Vente under contract for a further year, but selling him could bring in precious cash for the club to reinvest.

Hibs will enter the Europa League at the second qualifying stage this summer, the same time as club such as Shakhtar Donetsk, Braga, Anderlecht and Besiktas, amongst others, come to the party.

Reaching the league phase of the Europa League would be a lucrative affair for Hibernian, but plotting that route looks to be incredibly tough and after the second qualifying round they will still have to tackle the third qualifying round and then the playoff round.
