Former Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda says he's okay and has hit out at Zulte Waregem management after trials last week.
Musonda was expected to join Zulte after impressing in a trial match following the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge this summer. But Zulte chiefs claimed the midfielder had disappeared without, which raised concern across the world for the player.
Musonda has since broken his silence, telling Marca: "I am fine. Over the years I have come to understand that people talk a lot without knowing the truth, but that is not my problem."
He also clarified that he will not be joining Zulte and is hoping to explore other options, explaining: "Very soon I will be back on the pitch doing what I love. Little by little I will build my way back to the top and maybe it will be in Spain.
"I love football, I always loved it, I always will love it. I have trained for four years - three of them alone - without playing, dreaming that one day I will not only play, but I will climb back to the top."
The free agent also said: "I still have 10 years of football, two to prepare and eight to be at the highest level.
"I am calm in my thoughts and I have faith."
