Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera detailed just how the team has continued to adapt under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

PSG has had its ups and downs under Pochettino ever since the Argentine arrived as the team’s new manager earlier this season. The French powerhouse managed to eliminate the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. However, PSG could very well finish the season trophyless.

Herrera is in much appreciation for the work that Pochettino has so far put into the club. More so, the Spanish midfielder signals out Pochettino’s strong communication as one of his strengths as a manager, which he detailed further during his talk with PSG TV.

“I think that for him, one of the most important things about the way he sees football and managing a squad, is communication,” Herrera said. “He communicates a lot with us. Us, as players, know exactly what he expects from us. It’s something that I really respect.

“I love football and I love having the chance to train every day even though I’m 31 years old. I love learning new things all the time. So having a new coach is also about having a new way of playing with a new system and I like that. For me, it’s an opportunity to improve and learn new things.”

Pochettino is under contract with PSG for next season as well. It will surely be noteworthy to see the changes that Pochettino and the club’s board have in mind for the upcoming and much-anticipated summer transfer window.
