Rangers had the luxury of squad rotation this evening as they locked horns with minnows Annan Athletic in the Scottish Cup 5th Round tie. But the gaffer Giovanni van Bronckhorst was not at all complacent as his men maintained sheer composure in a comprehensive 3-0 win at Galabank.
Below are the Rangers players rated in their commanding win against Annan Athletic.
Jon McLaughlin: 7
Returned between the sticks for this Cup game and was hardly tested by the opponents. A comfortable clean sheet for the Scotsman.
Mateusz Żukowski: 7.5
The right fullback was exquisite on his Rangers debut. Made relentless runs down the flank, whipped in crosses, while also displaying his maturity with timely one-twos and link-up football.
James Sands: 7
The versatile American featured as a centre-half. Did the basics right in terms of positioning and no-nonsense clearances. Might be an option for the Gers in the heart of the defence.
Filip Helander: 8
Marked his return with a stellar goal early into the game. His powerful header from Aaron Ramsey’s corner ended up into the back of the net. Was in the right place at the right time and the minutes should help the Swedish star regain match fitness ahead of the upcoming fixture congestion. Made way for Jack Simpson around the hour mark.
Borna Barisic: 6.5
Decent game for the Croatian who must find the rhythm following a dismal derby display earlier this month. Balanced his game between attack and defence, also created a few chances with his crosses and cut insides from the left-hand fank.
Steven Davis: 7
The veteran Northern Irishman was out for a while with an injury woe. He got the nod this evening to operate from the deep and his experience, as well as expertise, helped Rangers dominate the midfield show all throughout the contest. Leon King replaced him around the hour mark.
Aaron Ramsey: 7.5
The Welsh maestro enjoyed his first Rangers start with box-to-box movements and set-piece attributes. His corner was headed home by Helander, whereas a brilliant finish was ruled out for offside moments before the half-time whistle. Made way for Alex Lowry after the hour mark.
Amad Diallo: 7
Showed his spark high up the pitch with tricky footwork, flashy skills and cut insides. Hit the crossbar midway through the second half. Was taken off for Charlie McCann with 20 minutes remaining.

Scott Wright: 7
Contributed to many attacking moves with his energetic runs and link-up play. Operated across the frontline and exhibited a high work ethic by carrying the ball forward.
Fashion Sakala: 7.5
Lively from the flank as the Zambian scored from a stellar strike (cross?) to make it 3-0 minutes over the half-hour mark. Hit the woodwork early into the game and eventually made way for Cedric Itten with 20 minutes remaining.
Kemar Roofe: 7.5
Back among goals with a smart finish midway through the first half. Came close on a few more occasions while spearheading the Light Blues attack.
Leon King: 6.5
A good half an hour of football for the teenager.
Jack Simpson: 6.5
Rare gametime for the Rangers outcast who replaced Helander in the heart of the backline.
Alex Lowry: 6.5
Looked purposeful with his runs and pressing game.
Cedric Itten: 6
Came on as a second-half substitute. Could not increase the margin despite leading the line.
Charlie McCann: 6.5
Almost found the net on his debut but was denied by the Annan custodian Greg Fleming.
