Glasgow City had to settle for a draw at Hearts in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League, as both Rangers and Celtic moved further clear of them.

Montrose 0-8 Hibernian Partick Thistle 3-0 Hamilton Academical Hearts 0-0 Glasgow City Dundee United 0-2 Celtic Motherwell 2-5 Aberdeen Rangers 3-1 Spartans

Rangers saw off Spartans to stay a point ahead of Celtic, who got both goals of the game at Dundee United. Glasgow City are eight points off the top with just one game in hand, after their draw at fourth-placed Hearts. Hibernian moved level on points with Hearts after scoring eight time at Montrose, where Abbie Ferguson hit four. Partick Thistle defeated Hamilton and Aberdeen also won by a three-goal margin at Motherwell, with four goals from Bayley Hutchison.

SWPL 2

Boroughmuir Thistle 2-1 Kilmarnock Gartcairn 0-1 Stirling University Livingston 3-1 Glasgow Women St Johnstone 2-3 Queen’s Park

Queen’s Park won by the odd goal in five to go as many points clear at the top, Livingston’s victory moved them within three points of second-placed Kilmarnock, beaten at Boroughmuir Thistle who rise to fourth. Stirling University climbed to fifth with the only goal at Gartcairn.
