Tommy Stroot has extended his contract with Wolfsburg until 2025. That has been communicated by the club. His original contract would expire in 2023, but has been extended by two years.

Stroot and his side won the Frauen-Bundesliga this year and are playing in the DFB Pokal final against Potsdam. They also managed to get to the final four of the UWCL.

Tommy Stroot said the following about the extension of his contract to the website of Wolfsburg: “Even when I was appointed, I stressed that a contract extension would mean more to me than the first contract,” said Stroot. “I see this contract extension primarily as an endorsement of the good cooperation with the players, my coaching team and all other staff. On the one hand it’s a vote of confidence in our work, which underlines that we as a team, but also every individual player, have made great progress. At the same time, I believe we’re only at the start of our journey and there’s still big potential in our group. Being able to accompany and guide the team and the coaching staff on this journey remains an attractive challenge, which I’ll continue to tackle with great energy and delight.”

Ralf Kellermann, VfL Women sporting director, commented: “The working relationship with Tommy has been characterised by great trust and openness from day one. We already began discussions on an early contract extension in the spring, completely irrespective of potential title wins. I’m confident that this setup gives us the perfect basis to continue VfL Wolfsburg’s successful path in the coming years.”
