‘He doesn’t want to’ – Deco responds to Barcelona fan questions on Nico Williams & transfer plans | OneFootball

Barcelona sporting director Deco was on Tuesday involved in a head-turning exchange with a member of the club’s fanbase.

The conversation in question has been unveiled by Victor Navarro of COPE, and provides an interesting insight into the Blaugrana’s ongoing efforts on the transfer front.

Deco, first, was unsurprisingly drawn on the club’s pursuit of long-time target Nico Williams.

And the Portuguese’s response proved a fascinating one, with Deco having opted to place the responsibility for the transfer’s failure directly on the shoulders of wide-man Nico himself:

“I want him to come, but he doesn’t want to come…”

From here, the Camp Nou chief was asked:

“But will anyone come?”

And those of a Barcelona persuasion will no doubt be excited by Deco’s blunt reply, with the former midfielder having simply confirmed:

“Yeah”

It now remains to be seen what the plans of Deco and his transfer team entail, ahead of what could prove to be an exciting couple of weeks behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
