Anderlecht defend their 0-1 Europa League lead against BK Häcken in Sweden on Thursday. Before that, head coach Besnik Hasi faced the media.

At the press conference previewing the match against Häcken, Besnik Hasi addressed the (imminent) arrival of STVV striker Adriano Bertaccini. “I’m very pleased. The club has been working with that kind of profile for a while. He brings grit, intensity, depth, and is someone who can turn a match around.

“He also has stats against the big clubs. He’s always ready to go, he’s hungry, and he’s happy to come to Anderlecht. He’s proven his qualities to me. He has all the ingredients to succeed here.”

Hasi addressed other striking options for Les Mauve et Blanc. Speaking of Kasper Dolberg’s availability, the manager said, “He’s doing well. Kasper has trained with us all. He’s still a bit sore, but nothing serious. (His replacement) Luis Vázquez did well against Westerlo, even though he was criticised for not scoring.”

Another talent, deeper in midfield, is Nathan De Cat. The 17-year-old received plenty of praise last weekend for his performance against Westerlo and he may feature in this European clash.

“He’s already making fantastic strides. That’s why he played against Westerlo. He has a tremendous presence and is physically strong, but the rhythm of a match at that level is something else. I’m not afraid to put De Cat against anyone.”
