Harry Kane broke the deadlock by turning home Jamal Musiala’s cutback for a 28th goal in his maiden Bundesliga campaign.

The hosts doubled their advantage just seven minutes later courtesy of Leon Goretzka’s scuffed rebound finish after Kane headed against the post.

Thomas Tuchel’s one-time employers halved their deficit on the half-hour mark with Nadiem Amiri’s well-struck free kick comfortably beating of Manuel Neuer.

But Kane struck back deep into first-half added time by bringing down Goretzka’s ball over the top and executing a cool finish for his 29th league strike of the campaign.

Just two minutes after the restart, Thomas Müller added a fourth after being teed up by Musiala, who would later score in his own right from a superb Kane assist.

Substitute Serge Gnabry built on an already an emphatic victory with a backheeled finish to meet Goretzka’s cross to the far post midway through the second half.

Kane, however, would take top billing by claiming his 30th goal as part of a hat-trick in the final 20 minutes, pouncing after Robin Zenter denied Eric Dier’s header.

Goretzka capped off a prolific afternoon at the Allianz Arena by meeting Joshua Kimmich’s deep cross to the far post.

The Rekordmeister now sit seven points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who entertain Wolfsburg on Sunday.
