However, it would appear that Hansi Flick has no intention of entertaining any such idea. In fact, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona coach is adamant about retaining the services of the Spaniard and appreciates what he brings to the team.

Beyond his explosiveness and dynamism, Lopez also offers versatility and that is something quite valuable to Flick. Despite rumours suggesting that the players who can play as a central attacking midfielder are already abundant in number, Lopez remains a player who can help out in various positions even beyond that.

Flick reportedly even spoke to the Barcelona midfielder directly after learning that he was being linked to an exit and asked him to stay as well. However, transfer rumours continue to emerge despite the coaching staff’s faith in him, and Manchester United just so happens to be the latest side to be linked to him.
