Barcelona president Joan Laporta on Saturday laid out a round of quotes which will no doubt go down a treat across the club’s fanbase.
This comes after the Spanish patron hinted that the Barca board’s efforts to add to Hansi Flick’s squad for next season have not yet come to an end.
The Blaugrana, to date, have brought in three first-team players this summer.
These come in the form of goalkeeper Joan García, and attacking pair Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji.
Ensuing reports in the media have since widely suggested that as much is likely to mark the end of Barcelona’s market when it comes to incomings.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest comments on the part of Joan Laporta are anything to go by, then this may not be the case…
Speaking during an interview with CNN, as cited by Diario Sport, on Saturday, Barca’s president explained:
“More signings? As a club, we have to have more players than usual, and that means we have to invest more and that means we have to do our best to have a more competitive squad.
“We have very talented players, but they are also human beings, and there is a limit. They need time to rest and enjoy, and I think it’s something to take into account.”
