Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has tonight sent a message of assurance the way of the club’s supporter-base.
This comes after Barca brought their pre-season fixture list to a close in somewhat concerning fashion.
After a largely positive tour of the USA, the Blaugrana welcomed AS Monaco to Catalunya’s capital on Monday, for one last preparatory outing ahead of this weekend’s La Liga opener against Valencia.
Come the full-time whistle in proceedings, however, the evening’s hosts were condemned to the wrong side of a 3-0 result.
Speaking to the media post-match, the subject of his side’s performance, and heavy defeat, was in turn put to Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick.
The German, however, appeared altogether unphased.
Assuring the Blaugrana faithful that they will be fully prepared come kick-off at Mestalla on Saturday night, Flick explained:
“I know what the team is capable of. Today was not our game. We will play differently in Valencia. I am sure we will do better.”
